There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. As always, we have several projects in motion at once. Below you can see our current works in progress as well as those previously completed.
This is the inside of our Chicken Palace. We hope to finish it this year. It is insulated with an outside enclosure & a greeting room where visitors can sit & pet a chicken.
Our most costly endeavor this year--ELECTRICITY. The lightning bolt is the telephone pole from which electric will be supplied to the farm. We are responsible for clearing the path.
We make all of our hay to feed the Sanctuary animals from the fields at Otter Creek Farm.
One of our volunteers helps with the second cutting square bales.
Driveways are often taken for granted until there isn't one. This little beauty was one of our first projects of the year & still needs some additional grading.
Cow shed constructed almost completely of reused materials. Completed fall 2020.
We turned a 3-sided cowshed into a 6-stall horse barn over the course of several years. It now houses a few peacocks as well.
Finally, a small animal barn! The end of 2020 marked the completion of this collaborative effort with our Amish neighbors.
Equipment shed with lean-to completed in 2019. Used to store haymaking equipment, tractors, various farm machines & implements, as well as hay.
