A moment at the Sanctuary...
Some of us come from situations of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Others are farm or auction rescues. Occasionally, our owners surrender us to the Sanctuary. Whatever the situation, we end up at a much happier place.
I am a Scottish Highland cow. My owner surrendered me to the Sanctuary because he did not want me killed for food. He loved me very much.
I was brought to the Sanctuary with a head injury. It took a long time, but with love and care my injury healed. I am living a happy life swimming in the creek with my feathered friends.
GOBBLE-GOBBLE! There were three of us, but one was eaten for dinner. Our owner felt badly about that dinner and placed us at our new home where we can live out their natural lives.
I broke my hip and was sent to auction. Some kind people rescued me and donated me to the Sanctuary. I may have a limp, but don't be fooled, I'm feistier than I look!
Hello! I am a mini-donkey. When I was a baby, I was at an auction with my mom and dad. Someone bought my mom & dad and took them away. I was alone & scared until a lady brought me to my new home. I am loved and have lots of great friends here. Levi is my best friend.
